Meet the Presenter
Hi, I’m Dani, I have almost 10 years of experience working with autistic young people across a range of roles, including support work, therapy assistance and Occupational Therapy, which has given me both practical and clinical insight into the day-to-day realities of supporting autistic young people well.
I hold a Master of Occupational Therapy Practice and currently work predominantly with autistic individuals as an Occupational Therapist. I am also the founder and manager of Rising Youth Occupational Therapy, where I support and train Occupational Therapists and support workers within our practice.
Over the years, I have completed extensive professional development in working with autistic individuals and place strong importance on combining evidence-based practice with approaches that are practical, respectful and meaningful in everyday life.
I am particularly passionate about building independence, supporting emotional wellbeing, and promoting neuro-affirming practice that values each young person’s strengths, needs and individuality
This training is designed for providers and organisations supporting autistic individuals who want to ensure their team is equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to deliver high-quality, consistent support. This includes:
